1974 Mercedes Benz 280  (15,000 miles)

If you have never experienced the solid, comfortable ride of a classic Mercedes Benz sedan, then you are missing a truly rewarding driving experience.

This 1974 Mercedes Benz 280 sedan was purchased new from Old Hickory Motors (M-B dealer, Durham, NC) in June 1974 by Dr. Spenser Bass of Taroboro, NC.  The last NC inspection was done on August 2, 1977 at 14,424 miles.  At about 14,800 miles, Dr. Bass put the vehicle in a barn, drained all of the fluids out of the engine, wrapped the engine in plastic, and never cranked it again.  Twenty-nine years later in May 2006, the car was purchased from his estate after his death.

The vehicle was sent to Leith Mercedes Benz in Raleigh, NC where all of the mechanical work was done.  The following is a partial list or repairs/replacements:

...all brakes and brake lines...fuel tank and all fuel lines...all motor and transmission mounts...radiator rebuilt...all rubber hoses and belts replaced...carburator rebuild...complete tune-up...new Michelin tires...original horse-hair seat cushions replaced...water pump replaced...all light bulbs replaced...sway bar links replaced...complete exhaust system replaced...all air conditioner hoses replaced...new fuel pump...more...

The original brochure and color catalog as well as complete Mercedes Benz factory repair manuals are with the car.

The paint and interior are all factory original.  No body or paint work has ever been done on this car.  The engine is the original factory engine. This car runs and drives beautifully.  It currently has just over 15,000 miles.

All documentation, original NC 1977 license plate and copies of Dr. Bass' service records, copy of original NC title, and all current detail repairs come with the car.

Offered at $19,500.

1995 Mercedes-Benz e320 cabriolet

If you like driving really nice cars, you will really enjoy driving this Mercedes.  Quality is something you know as soon as you experience it.  This e320 convertible reminds you of that every time you get in it.

e320 cabriolets are rare, limited production luxury vehicles that were hand assembled in Germany only from 1994-1995.  The '95 e320 was the last 'full-size' convertible made by Mercedes-Benz and is considered to be the best.

In 1995, the MSRP of this car was over $79,000.

This car is white with light blue leather, heated front seats.  The A/C blows 40 degree cold air.  The soft top is black and in excellent working and cosmetic condition.

This Benz convertible has just 62,000 miles, is in excellent condition overall, and can be driven anywhere with confidence.

Offered at $25,000.

1979 Porsche 911SC

Here we go!  This exceptional 1979 Porsche 911SC looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.  I have rarely seen a cleaner, better detailed car.  If the styling of this classic 911 doesn't give you goosebumps, check your pulse.

This is a completely original, numbers matching car with 67,000 actual miles.  The engine is correct, 3.0 Liter, fuel-injected with a dealer-installed, upgraded electronic ignition and correct factory smog controls.  A new K&N air filter system has been installed for increased efficiency and improved performance.

The entire car was recently completely serviced at a licensed Porsche repair shop where it got all new belts, all new fluids, all new brake pads and rotors, and a complete alignment.  The factory A/C is ice cold.

The car sports a factory sun roof as well as a working factory Blaupunkt AM/FM/cassette.   New BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Racing tires keep this baby tied to the earth.  New California Sheep Skins cover excellent original seats.

Everything on this car works correctly and as it should.  This rocket is ready to go-go!  It just needs a pilot.

Offered at $32,000.
